DORM LIFE 2 / FORCED MOVEMENT

PROJECT THE SEQUENCE OF IMAGES BACK ON TO THE WALL. CONSTRUCT GUIDELINES IN THE SPACE. TRACING THE PATH OF MOVEMENT. RE-ENACT THE ORIGINAL BEHAVIOR BY FORCING MOVEMENT ALONG THE GUIDELINES. RECORD THE RE-ENACTMENT; PROJECT IT BACK ONTO THE WALL; CONSTRUCT GUIDELINES IN SPACE; TRACE THE RE-ENACTMENT; RECORD AND PROJECT AGAIN...

The next step was to create a three dimensional view of my movement within my room. Unconscious movement along the line is graceful and emotional, but conscious movement along the line is forced and rigid lacking the unconscious emotion. Forced movement in the space creates habit. This was done by taking the string and placing teak wood sticks as a representation of my body's movement.
